Alubala — The Platform for Empathetic People

Alubala is an online platform where anyone can give away an item they no longer need, sell it for a symbolic price, and have 100% of the proceeds automatically transferred to their favorite charity fund.

How it works?

• Take a photo of the item you no longer need.
• Upload your listing on Alubala — include a short description, a symbolic price, and select the charity fund to receive the money after the sale.
• Earn points on your Empathy Thermometer and share your impact with friends.

We all have items we no longer need. Some of them even take up space in our storage. Yes, we could give them to someone — but will they actually use them? To sell an item you no longer need on Alubala for a symbolic price, and to have the money from the sale go to your favorite charity, you first need to register on Alubala. You can already both donate items and buy items (buying is also possible without registration). To donate an item, you need to find the “Donate” button. Once you click it, the listing upload page will open, where you describe your item, upload photos, choose your favorite charity, and set a symbolic price — the amount you want to be donated to that charity. All of this is even easier to do from your phone. The “Publish” button means your listing goes live, and anyone can now buy the item you donated. If you want to share your listing, you will find a link to do so. When the item is sold and the payment is completed, you will receive a notification, and the new owner will contact you to collect the item. Now imagine how much good you can create with an item you no longer need:

• The money from the sale goes to charities run by caring people — helping children, supporting the sick, rescuing animals, planting trees… in other words, a lot of good is generated.
• And the items themselves go to the right owners — to people who will actually use them. Economists say that the person who pays for something is the one who needs it. This means that items sold on Alubala end up in the hands of people who will use them — putting them back into circulation, creating value, and helping the economy grow.
